Speed Limits Lottery Tickets Elevator Buttons Numbers are everywhere—they play such a vital role in our everyday lives. But what would happen if we measured love with equations just as we do our morning cup of coffee? My nana had many recipes in her cupboards, but it was her calculations for love that she insisted I live my life by; and I’ve followed her rules all these years.   One Animal One Moment One Critical Impact That’s all it took for the numbers to start flying in a jumbled mess through my brain as I stared into the violet eyes that would forever make me question my choices. In a split second, the possibilities and reality of true love are revealed and I’m questioning all I’ve ever known.   A Tree White Fences Stolen Moments I can’t ignore the storm brewing around—and within—me. Everything I am is confronted by these new numbers, and all they represent. My past, present and future will all be determined by the gambles I make right here, right now. Again, it’s all about the numbers. And what I’m learning is, one plus one doesn’t always equal two and sometimes three times isn’t always the charm.

My Review:
4.0 Star Review – Ninety Eight

I recommend this book.

I enjoyed this book by Shannon.  This book includes passion, laughs, heartache, grief, and betrayal.

This is NOT a sweet romance so if you are looking for that this book is not for you!!

There are times in this book you will feel as if you are in a storm of emotions and that the hail in that storm is coming down hard.  Just when you think you have your emotions under control Shannon hits you with more torment and frustration.  The twists, turns, grief and suffering seem as if they will never end.  Keep the tissues handy as you will need them….

Brielle McGraw believes what her Nana told her years ago.  She should settle for someone that is “good” guy.  Based on a percentage system they made up.  So she is living with a guy she thinks she loves but really does she?

After being injured on a farm by a horse hoof to the head she is taken to the hospital by a paramedic named Darwin Alexander who sits with her for hours awaiting the arrival of her boyfriend who was in a meeting and since she was not dying decided to wait until after to work to pick her up.

As her and Darwin who is married spend more and more time together they grow closer.  They are both attracted to each other but do not act on those feelings.

When Brielle gets engaged to Victor who is all wrong for her you wonder why?  Her treats her like a doormat and tells her she is immature.  Still she does not cancel the wedding.  She is in love with Darwin but going to marry Victor as Darwin is taken….

As the book goes on there is tragedy and suffering.   There are times that you wonder really why does Brielle let the people that treat her so bad stay in her life.  Will Brielle ever get her life together and be whole?  Or are just pain, suffering, and grief in her future?

Found myself disgusted by quite a few people in this book.  Totally disliked Victor (his whole attitude toward Brielle and her feelings just pissed me off.  I so wanted to smack him a certain points), Fiona (she was high strung and manipulated everyone around her), and Brielle’s parents, her mother (Seemed like she never really cared about Brielle), and her step father (He was just a jerk and she really should have put him in his place at some point in the book).
