4.0 Star Review – Hard To Love You

I recommend this book.

I enjoyed this book by Megan.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books first:

Easy To Love You

I just have to say at times I really want to smack the crap out of Mason.  There are also times you want to hug him and never let him go.  Perfect character to love and hate at the same time.

This book picks up at the end of the last one.  They are in a bar celebrating the engagement of Kenzie and Hunter.  Hailey is pissed when she caught Mason making out with Lily.  (Don’t worry she gets a smack down). Hailey runs off before Mason can explain.  But when he does explain he still keeps things from Hailey.  This family sure does love the secrets.

Parts of this story will break your heart and you will need the tissues.  Makes you want to shake Mason and Hailey both.

The book goes though the younger years for these two also.  You get to know them both better.

Can’t want for the next story from Megan

“What did that pillow and blanket ever do to you?” Jaylinn asks.

I whip around, she startled me. “Nothing.” I grumble and lay down the couch, covering my eyes in the crook of my elbow.

I hear Jaylinn walking around my living room but I’m not exactly sure where she is. “I heard about what happened.”

I growl. I don’t feel like talking about this shit.

“Masey,” Jaylinn rests her hand on my upper arm and pulls it away from my face. “I know how much you love her. I’m sorry that you’re hurting but I think this is best for the both of you.” I open my eyes and look over at her. “You both lost your way somehow, Masey.”

My hands ball into fists. I feel like beating the shit out of something but I know it’s only going to help for a few minutes and I think I learned my lesson when I punched my door.

“You know that saying? ‘If you love something, set it free. If it comes back it’s yours. If it doesn’t, it never was’?” Jaylinn asks as she stands.

“Yeah, but what does that have to do with me and Hailey? We’re over, Jay.” I say as my voice cracks.

“Oh Masey, it has everything to do with you.” Jaylinn kisses my cheek and then goes to seek out Cooper.

Trying Not To Love You (Love #1)
MacKenzie Cahill has dealt with overbearing and overprotective brothers her entire life, making it near impossible to enjoy her teenage years. Having a boyfriend was practically impossible until she met a guy that wasn’t afraid to stand up to them – Dominic. He was sweet, thoughtful, and everything MacKenzie ever wanted in a man.

But when they go away to college at Old Dominion University, MacKenzie sees a whole new side of Dominic and begins to wonder if he really is different from every other guy.

Her world is turned upside down after a party, and her brothers’ best friend Hunter is the one there to offer her a shoulder to cry on. The chemistry between them is electric, and feelings for each other that have been hidden for years are finally voiced.

Is Hunter willing to be disloyal to his best friends in order to be with the one girl he’s always secretly wanted?

New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language, and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

4.0 Star Review – Trying Not To Love You

I recommend this book.

I enjoyed this book by Megan.

What happens when you fall in love with your brother’s best friend who happens to live across the street?   Makes it more difficult when he practically lives in your house he is there so much.  You have to see him date his way through the girls in school.  Always wishing the next girl would be you.   This is the life Kenzie is living. She has tried to move on and has a boyfriend but is she settling as she can’t have the one she wants?

Hunter McCormick wants his best friend’s sister.  If he makes his feeling known they will kill him.  When Hunter went away to college it was easier as she was not around.  But now Kenzie is going to that same college.  Her brothers Mason and Cooper trust that Hunter to watch out for her and keep her safe.  With the way he feels about her that may have been a mistake.

It was great to see the characters grow through the story.  That allows you to get to know them better.

Easy To Love You (Love #2)
Hunter finally has MacKenzie Cahill, the girl of his dreams. A horrible accident finds those dreams threatened. As their lives change, secrets begin to surface. These revelations could prove to be either the downfall of Hunter and MacKenzie or the catalyst that strengthens their bond.

Will the bond between the two families be strong enough to keep them together?

The last book ended with a Cliffhanger.

Now Hunter and Kenzie are together.  They are engaged and happy.  But Hunter is keeping a secret which he first kept to protect her and his child. But while trying to figure out how to tell her that secret he uncovers another secret he never knew about. Will the secrets that keep piling up pull them closer together or blow them apart?

On a side note Mason and Hailey?  Not sure if this is good or bad….Cooper and Jaylinn’s  what about them?
